EMD GP35 – HO Scale Diesel Locomotive

Ubiquitous on American railroads, the EMD GP35 is a four-axle diesel-electric locomotive built by Electro-Motive Division (EMD), and subsequently General Motors Diesel, beginning in the mid-1960s. More than 1,300 GP35 locomotives were produced, and they were operated by virtually every major railroad in the United States. An additional 26 units were built for Canadian railroads and 57 units for Mexican railroads.

These freight locomotives were powered by EMD 567D3A 16-cylinder diesel engines producing 2,500 horsepower.

For this production, Broadway Limited Imports is modeling ten railroads with prototypically accurate road numbers and paint schemes. Each model features the latest Paragon4 Sound & Control System with Rolling Thunder and an integral GoPack capacitor system. All models include road-specific details and lighting.
